Yes, completely free. You can build your entire empire, prestige multiple times, and enjoy everything the game has to offer without spending a penny. NFTs and shop items are optional power-ups, not paywalls.
Do I need a wallet or NFT to play?
No wallet needed to start playing. However, to earn real DKV tokens you’ll need at least one DKV NFT Manager. Once you have one, the DKV Token business unlocks and your in-game tokens can be exchanged for real on-chain DKV via the in-game exchange.
How do DKV tokens work — are they real?
Yes. DKV tokens in the game carry the same value as the real DKV token on the Solana blockchain. Once you’ve accumulated enough in-game, use the in-game exchange to send real DKV directly to your Phantom wallet — ready to hold, trade, or stake.
What do NFT managers do that regular managers don’t?
Regular in-game managers skim 20–60% of your profits depending on tier. DKV NFT Managers take nothing — zero skimming — plus they apply trait bonuses: up to +60% speed, +60% production, and −60% cost reduction for the rarest 1-of-1 NFTs. They also unlock the DKV token earning mechanic.
What is the Trait Store and how do I use it?
The Trait Store lets you upgrade the traits on your DKV NFT to improve its in-game bonuses. Use your DKV tokens in-game to fund the upgrade, then head to the external Trait Store at gotmlabz.io/traitstore/dkv to apply it on-chain. Come back to Idle Donkeys and the game automatically reads your NFT’s updated traits — no manual refresh needed.
What is prestige and should I do it?
Prestige lets you sell your entire empire once you’ve unlocked Business 12. You earn Crystals and choose one permanent upgrade. You lose your businesses but keep your Crystals, DKV tokens, shop items, and NFT managers. You restart with 200 Hay — and with permanent upgrades stacked, you progress significantly faster each time.
Does the game progress while I’m offline?
Yes — any business with a manager assigned keeps running whether the game is open or not. Log back in and your offline earnings are waiting to be collected.
Where can I mint a DKV NFT?
Mint directly at launchmynft.io/sol/12079. You’ll need a Phantom wallet with enough SOL for the mint price plus a small network fee. Always use the official link — never mint from anything shared in DMs or unofficial channels.
