What are DKV NFTs?

DKV NFTs are digital collectibles living on the Solana blockchain. Each one is a unique Donkey character with its own combination of traits and rarity.

In Idle Donkeys, DKV NFTs are not just collectibles — they become powerful managers for your businesses. Unlike regular managers who skim a percentage of your earnings, a DKV NFT manager takes nothing. Zero skimming means more Hay in your pocket and faster progression.

The better your NFT’s traits, the bigger the bonuses it brings across seven axes: Production, Speed, Cost, Repair, Resistance, Insurance and Luck. And owning at least one NFT unlocks Business 14 — the DKV Token Mint.

Minting

Minting is the process of creating a brand new NFT on the blockchain. When you mint a DKV NFT, you pay a small fee to permanently record your unique Donkey on the Solana network.

Once minted, it belongs to you and only you — it cannot be taken away, duplicated, or altered. Think of it like buying a trading card directly from the printer, except the card is yours forever and provably unique.

Minted NFTs appear in your Phantom wallet and can be used immediately in Idle Donkeys as managers.

Our mint is built and run by us. Which donkey you get is chosen at random after your payment goes through, so nobody can pick or peek. Budget for the mint price plus a small amount of network fees and account rent (about 0.02 SOL); your wallet shows the exact total before you approve. It works with Phantom, Solflare, and the Solana Mobile wallet on Seeker and Android.

DKV Tokens & SPL Tokens

SPL tokens are Solana’s version of digital currency (like ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum). DKV is an SPL token — a real digital asset on the Solana network with real value.

In Idle Donkeys, you earn DKV tokens through Business 14. The in-game DKV carries the same value as the real on-chain token. Once you have enough, use the in-game exchange to send real DKV directly to your Phantom wallet — ready to hold, trade, or stake.

The Trait Store

The Trait Store lets you upgrade the traits on your DKV NFT to change its in-game bonuses. It’s our own store: you pick the traits you want, see their bonuses and prices, and pay once.

Upgrades are written to the NFT itself on Solana, so they are permanent and travel with the donkey when you sell it. You can change traits again later. The five 1-of-1 donkeys are already maxed out and can’t be upgraded.

Trait Bonuses

Each trait on your DKV NFT can provide a bonus to one of seven stats: Production, Speed, Cost, Repair, Resistance, Insurance and Luck. Bonuses are capped (+60% per axis) to prevent any single NFT from being overpowered. The tabs below list the Speed, Production and Cost traits; the Bonus Checker shows every bonus on any donkey.

Staking

Staking means locking your DKV NFT in exchange for DKV token rewards over time. Think of it like a savings account — your NFT works for you while you hold it.

Our staking is non-custodial: your NFT never leaves your wallet. It just can’t be sold or transferred while staked, and you can unstake any time — one signature, no waiting period. You can still use it as an NFT Manager and upgrade its traits while it’s staked, so staking and gaming together create multiple income streams from the same NFT.

Bonus Checker & Bonus Score

The Bonus Checker is a free, read-only tool. Paste any wallet address, or the address of a single NFT, and see exactly which bonuses each DKV carries — no sign-in, no transaction.

Each donkey gets a Bonus Score: its bonuses across all seven axes added together. It’s how we value donkeys, because what a donkey can do in the game is what makes it worth having, not a rarity rank. The five 1-of-1s max out every axis and score the highest of all, at 420.

Looking at your own wallet, you’ll also find shortcuts to upgrade, stake or list a donkey. Looking at someone else’s, you can send the owner an offer.

The Donkey Recruitment Office

Our own marketplace for buying and selling DKV NFTs, player to player. Donkeys are listed with their full bonuses and ordered by Bonus Score, so you can see what you’re buying at a glance.

• Your donkey stays in your wallet while it’s for sale. Listing only authorises the sale, and you can cancel any time.
• One atomic transaction. The seller is paid, a small marketplace fee and the creator royalty are taken, and the donkey moves to the buyer, all together or not at all.
• Pay in SOL, or in DKV for a little off. Suggested DKV prices are converted from the SOL price and the seller can adjust them.
• Offers. Want a donkey that isn’t listed? Send the owner an offer in SOL, from 0.1 SOL. Nothing leaves your wallet. If they accept, they list the donkey privately for you at that price. Offers expire after 7 days.
• Safe by design. The marketplace never holds your NFT or your keys, and listed donkeys can’t be staked or upgraded until they are taken off sale.

How to Get a Phantom Wallet

Phantom is the most popular Solana wallet and is what you need to connect to Idle Donkeys, hold your NFTs, and receive your DKV tokens.

Web3 Safety

• Your seed phrase is the master key to your wallet. If anyone ever asks for it, they are trying to steal everything you own. Never share it, never type it into any website, and never photograph it.
• Only use official links. Bookmark the official Mint, Trait Store, Staking and Recruitment Office pages on idledonkeys.com. Scammers create fake websites that look identical to real ones.
• Do your own research before spending money. NFTs and tokens can go up and down in value. Never invest more than you can afford to lose.
• Offers are requests, not payments. Nothing should ever leave your wallet because someone sent you an offer. If a message pushes you to click a link, approve something odd, or “verify” your wallet, ignore it and report it in Discord.
• Read what your wallet is asking you to approve. Our pages only ever ask you to sign in (free) or approve a single clearly described payment or sale.
• Idle Donkeys is a game first. The NFT and token features add real utility and value, but the game is designed to be enjoyable whether you hold NFTs or not.
